Art history is the study of what makes something art and the meanings behind each piece. Since prehistoric times, art has been used in many ways and as the world evolves, art reflects upon it with different movements, styles, and functions resulting from it that can steal the hearts and minds of its viewers. Not only does art capture stories and emotions through its form and content, but through context and its function, it can also help viewers understand life beyond the art and rather the artist, movement, and society that influenced it.
