Inner Voice
WGBH Educational Foundation
Violist Masumi Per Rostad takes you behind the scenes in conversations with fellow musicians and insiders from the world of classical music.
Often recorded in the far-flung locales where chamber music is presented, Masumi invites you to listen and get a sense of what it is like to be on the road as a touring musician today. Since 2001, Masumi has been a member of the Grammy Award winning Pacifica Quartet. Regularly touring everywhere, they perform about 90 concerts a year together, teach at the University of Illinois and hold a residency at the University of Chicago. In the fall, the ensemble will join Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music as full-time faculty and Quartet-in-Residence. Orig
