Hello! No Trigger Warnings podcast is a safe place for women to share their journeys trying to conceive with advanced maternal age. From sex and relationships, miscarriages and medications to IVF protocols and red light therapy. The struggle is very real and extremely isolating.Sometimes trying to conceive turns into trying to adopt, or trying to heal and move on, or trying to grapple with the emotions and logistics of using donor oocytes, sperm or embryos. Sometimes it means needing a gestational carrier, like myself.Infertility can be caused by damage to sperm, oocytes or both. It can be due to physical and anatomical abnormalities and/or hormonal irregularities in both sexes, such as PCOS in women and low testosterone in men.Infertility can present itself as repeat implantation failure, repeat pregnancy loss and still births, high-risk pregnancies... this is not an exhaustive list.Infertility, whether due to age or something else, can lead to serious trauma-related mental health
